New member here from Kissimmee, Florida. I have a lot of experience with Taurus firearms and 99.9% of that experience has been very positive. Had a few hiccups with my PT111 when Taurus first brought out their polymer guns, but once I got the gun back from Taurus, its been a little tack driver and 100% reliable. My Millenium .45acp (first gen) is one of several guns that I use for concealed carry here in Florida. Either in a strong side belt holster or a Mickey Mouse Fanny pack, it is a real nice feel to have 10 rounds of .45acp with you at all times. Very accurate and reliable, and with the stainless slide and polymer frame, the Florida weather is not a problem. I own other brands of pistols, but I am impressed with the innovation and pricing Taurus brings to the market.
Like everyone else, I am waiting patiently for the 24/7 OSS to arrive on dealer shelves. I must have one.

current Taurus Guns:
Taurus 24/7 Pro .45acp 2-tone (so much power in such a slim, light package)
Taurus Millenium .45acp 2-tone (same size as an XD subcompact 9mm only lighter)
Taurus PT 111 9mm 1st gen (my going to the ATM pocket rocket)
Taurus PT 92 9mm ss pre-rails (he thinks he's Italian only more accurate)
Taurus PT 917CS 9mm ss w/rails (he thinks he's the Italians little bro only better looking)

used to have: (wish I had back)
PT 101 .40SW
PT 92 9mm (prehammerdrop)
669 6" .357 mag ss revolver
66 2 1/2" .357 revolver bl
94 4" .22 revolver ss

New member too. Ran across a Millenium PT111 the other day. I hadn't even considered purchasing Taurus, but found it to be nice. Can anyone help with the distinctions between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Pt111s? I have seen some identified as such and am not sure if there is really any difference and if so, how do I identify? What is the thought here about the quality? Posts seem to be all over the map on Taurus. Thx

Just so you know, this is considered hijacking someone's post. This is for new members to say hi and get welcomed. So welcome, but you should really ask your questions in the correct area, or this new member section will turn into anything but.
My apologies JLMCPA1986 and other forum members. Quite the Newbie move on my part. I was browsing threads, saw reference to PT111 and thought I'd ask the question. No hijack intended. Will be more cautious in the future.
Another welcome from Minnesota.
