This is my first post on this site! I'm a former LEO and have been shooting for the past 20+ years, rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers.
I recently purchased two new Taurus pistols and I had an opportunity to run some rounds through them for the first time on Saturday.
I read lots of negative things about Taurus firearms, reliability, poor warrenty work, ETC. But I also read a lot of positive reviews as well.
I was looking for a 9mm and .45 that had high-capacity magazines. There was a PT 92 and a PT845B available and those are what I purchased.
I found this site this past week and was impressed by the wealth of information and knowledge here.
Needless to say, after running about 50 rounds through each, I am VERY impressed! Both guns shot straight and I had ZERO issues with each! I trained and qualified on a 3rd Gen S&W 9mm, so I was specifically looking for pistols that had an exposed hammer and a thumb safety/decocker and the 845 and 92 fit that nicely.
I really like both pieces, they are definately keepers!
I'm looking forward to learning more about these guns as I go along here. I'm also looking for some spare magazines for each gun and they are tough to find right now (as I'm sure you all know!)
