new member from michigan. Havent even fired a handgun before but I am seeking out the right one for me. I have settled on Taurus because its a good decent gun with a decent price. And for some reason the whole idea of not being able to use over pressured/powered loads is a nice idea to me.

Bezoar,
Welcome to the forum. I think you are making a good choice in going with Taurus. Read as much as you can before deciding on a caliber and platform to buy. I generally recommend a .22 caliber for anyone starting out, but if you have any other r4easons for having the gun (i.e., defence needs) then I would probably recommend a 9mm, since the ammo is cheap. Cheap ammo means more practice time. Also, a 9mm is a good defence round.

Either way, feel free to ask questions before you make your decision. Either way, more guns will be in your future, once you get the shooting bug!
