Just came back from the first run at the range with my new G2C. Put 150rounds of 115 gr. FMJ through it. Not a glitch of any kind. Loved the feel of the gun in th emhand when firing it. Grip stippling is aggressive and I will probably shoot it out about. Not sure of the best material to use to do that so suggestions appreciated.

Shot all rounda at ten yards with a bullseye target. In the beginning I shot left and lowmin maybe 5” groups. I attribute that to getting used to the trigger. By the third box of ammo I was to,the left of cente but no longer low. Going back to the range on Friday to see how it goes, and if I have to drift adust the rear sight.

My review of the gun in simple words is this. It rocks!

Pretty sure that I have Hogue Handall on my PT 111 G2. The newer design with their beavertail grip is really nice and is the one I have on my S & W Shield. Maybe contact them and see when/if they will make a beavertail configuration for the G2C...there's been enough sold so the market should be good:

I also went to the range yesterday. I received my new G2C 2 weeks ago, and picked up a few more magazines and a UpLULA Magazine loader at Academy Sports yesterday, so decided it was time to head to the range. My daily carry gun is a S&W 9mm PC Shield, and the G2C will be mainly my Night Stand gun.


I Decided to take them, and a few of my larger guns to the range to keep proficient with them all, and test and break in the G2C. The G2C feels better than my Shield, is just as accurate, holds 4 rounds more standard, and can use up to 20 rounds magazines. I wish the trigger did not have so much travel, but other than that, Shoots great, and I prefer it over the Shield. Comparing it to the Shield is really not fare, since it is the PC model, that has even been upgraded with Apex trigger parts. If someone comes out with a redesigned trigger for these, that retains the safety, I will jump on it.


This is the best bang for the buck for a 9mm semi auto I know of. I Love it.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois! I am just about to start carrying the PT 111 G2 again once I get the P 226 magazines fully checked out at the range. I'll give the Shield 45 ACP a rest in the safe.
