my buddies here in Memphis are all Sheriffs here, they all carry Glock 27 in 40cal. I have shot their guns as well as rented a few before I made the desision. I am going to 40 for my carry piece for stopping power. I looked at and read alot about the PT145 but I never shot one, I cant find one here to shoot to be honest. I am not an ammo specialist (meaning I am learning the differences) but right now, I do see that 40 cal seems less expensive, and I do plan on shooting A LOT at the range. (I have owned the Sigma for 3 weeks and already have 2600 rds through it)
I would have bought the Sigma in the 40 for the house, but I could not beat the $150 I got on the 9mm. I got it used from my cop buddy that only put 200rds through it. I do love it though, and its easy for the wife to shoot.
I would imagine that the kick on the 45 would be pretty intense on the smaller gun, is that not the case?
