Welcome to TA.net!!! I just got my new 731 today!!! My trigger is the same as yours. My 905 SA trigger isn't quite as extreme, but still is close to the back.. Never thought about this issue until you mentioned it here. My other Taurus snubbies are DAO, so I can't really tell you anymore than that. Sorry....

You know, I just got a TCP 732 because of my wrists and bad hands. (My daughter loves her 738.). But, I really am a snubby nut, so I am planning on using .32acp (which is semi-rimmed) in the 731. Of course, the matte 731 is a pefect match for my matte 732....

My new 731 looked the same as in all your pics. The only thing I see is that the gun may have been dry fired, which won't hurt the gun, per Taurus.

The 731 handles .32 H&R, and from what I've read, .32acp (semi-rimmed), and .32 S&W. Haven't shot anything yet, so this is what I've read. Use the .32acp and .32 S&W at your risk....
