OK so I did a lot of research and handling of handguns before choosing the 24/7 as my new and first in .40 (have a few in 9, 32, and .22). Anyhow I was really excited when I first purchased it is a fine looking and handling weapon unfortunately the first trip to the range today was a real bummer! I have a few issues but I believe they are all related. First magazine I had 5/15 no fires looked like light strikes dented the primer but no fire (put them in my brothers Beretta PX4 and no problems) after another magazine with 4/15 no fires and a different brand of ammo the plastic plug thing/dust cover? rear of slide where the hammer would be on a traditional double action goes flying backward, luckily we found it and it snapped back in. I don’t like that it just flew off? not a good start. Anyway after a few more no fires I notice the trigger will not reset into double action after failing to fire in single action the slide has to be racked to reset the trigger again (single action). I am afraid I might have to return a brand new firearm for warrantee and pay the shipping!!! Is it possible something in the firing pin /slide assembly is misaligned and causing the problems, maybe the firing pin is too far back and actually struck/pushed the plastic piece out? I am at a loss? Anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks, Tim
