Went shopping for the wife's Sig Sauer P238 and stumbled upon several pistols at Academy Sports that were interesting. Academy had a good supply to choose from and their prices are reasonable. Taurus was represented well, PT 709, 740, and several other models I cant recall.

They had the Sig P238 my wife wants but it was fairly ugly (imho) its called "The Lady" They also had a Walther PK380, also had a girly touch, the slide was black but the rest was pinkish. Kinda cool though.

What I decided to buy was a Smith&Wesson M&P .22. I love this gun, we shot it at the range for my qualification test. The wife loves it too. So she said I could buy it! Now if I could only find .22 ammo in abundance.
I paid 379.00 not bad. Impulse buy but Im glad we did it.

Looking forward to taking it to the range this weekend!

Congrats! I saw many .22LR handguns on display at our LGS this afternoon. About 5 of them and I do believe one or to were Sig models. Also had a couple Judges, a couple .45ACP, two 9mms and one .40S&W

But, not a single round of .22LR anywhere in the store.

Along with the congarats - good luck in finding some food to feed that thing.

Congrats! Everyone needs at least one good 22 pistol. It's a shame that you can't go out and burn up a brick of ammo in a weekend anymore. That's when these little pistols shine

I love the triggers on the M&P, they say its about 4.5 lbs. but feels like 3lbs to me. I had an M&P 9 and it was accurate as hell. I miss it and am looking into getting it replaced.

Well, she wants a sig sauer p238, its a bit more than I want to spend but if thats what she wants.....
Academy sports had one in friday but it was rather ugly, fancy scrolls in the slide and pink grips.
Not at all her style
