A couple weeks ago I fixed a friends laptop by replacing its Motherboard. My friend insisted on paying me but I refused. Last Friday I got a 250 ct. box of Berry's 9mm 124gr Round Nose bullets in the mail so I guess I did get paid. Nice gesture but here's the problem, I don't have a receipt for the Berry's Plated RN 124gr. I have Bullseye and Unique Powders but Alliant only has GDHP as the bullet. My 9mm Lee Load Die paperwork does have many receipts for the plated 124gr but not Bullseye or Unique so I may have to purchase a different powder. Sad story isn't it.

Does anyone have a load receipt for plated 124gr RN using Unique or Bullseye?

First off. sounds like you need a couple of handloading manuals. Look online for the Lyman 49th edition. The 50 is out, but those who upgrade their Lyman manuals by the newest edition, don't rate it as highly as the 49th.

If you had powders by Western, Accurate or Ramshot, they do a very good job in providing data for plated bullets. Beyond that, as jeeper1 mentioned, you can use cast-lead bullet data. You can also use START CHARGES for same weight jacketed bullets, which I do, myself in the absence of data.;)

You can use the Gold Dot load data. Measure the length of both bullets. The HP will be shorter than the RN so whatever the extra length of the RN should be added to the OAL of the Gold Dot.

From Lee's Modern Reloading 2nd Edition:

125 gr 9mm Jacketed - Bullseye start: 4.7.....max: 4.9
Unique start: 4.8.....max: 4.9

125 gr 9mm Lead - Bullseye start: 4.7.....max: 4.9
Unique start:5.3.....max: 5.5

There was no listing for these powders under 124 gr plated.

Thank you very much to all who contributed as it is very helpful to me. I don't have Reload Manuals because I used to subscribe to LoadData.com. Over the past two years I have found myself with less time at the range and therefore, less reloading. I have also thinned out my safe queens although I can still arm most of my immediate neighbors if *things get tough*. :D

I will most like use the Unique Cast Data but thank you to all.

Tried to fix that but the "Edit Post" won't allow it.

Recipe vs Receipt
I didn't think anything about it -- 'receipt' is a colloquialism for 'recipe' that some folks in the coastal southeast still use so it sounded completely natural to me.
