Two tourists were driving through Louisiana. As they approached Natchitoches, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town.

They went back and forth until they stopped for lunch. At the counter, one tourist asked the employee,
"Before we order, could you please settle an argument for us? Would you please pronounce where we are very slowly?"

The guy leaned over the counter and said, "Burrr-gerrr Kiiing." ;D ;D;D

I've heard this joke about Mexia but they pulled into D-a-i-r-y Q-u-e-e-n

Thought you misspelled Nacogdoches for a second...

True story: We drove our grandson to Kernersville, NC, to visit family. Stopped at Wendy's for lunch, just inside the city limits. I said, "Did you know that Kevin Harvick's crew chief lives here?". My 10-yr-old grandson looked at me and said, "WENDY'S?"

Should have seen the puzzled look on his face.

Na-Ki-Tush (like plush not your backside).

Being a field rep servicing Natchitoches I love to get a new dispatcher on the phone trying to pronounce it. Even more fun than Dahlonega, GA. :D
