I picked this up at a new gun store in Plano today, the FN FNX 9mm. I tried one of these in an advance CCW class I took at the Bullet Trap and fell in love. I'll take it out for a test drive as soon as I get some additional mags in.

Fell in love with FN and the P90 from Stargate (yeah yeah yeah scifi nerd here) I lust after a 5-7 but can't afford the gun and ammo is scarce. Nice purchase.

Well darn it, I am waaaaay late in giving a follow up report on how the FNX 9mm shot.

I've taken it to the range a couple times, once yesterday, and it was flawless both days. 500 rds total for both sessions, no hiccups of any kind with FMJ or JHP. Accuracy is amazing, and I am not that good of a shot. But if I concentrated and kept my eyes focused (my eyes are not the best for indoor range shooting), I had good groups at 25 ft +/-. Recoil is acceptable, and not wicked.

I highly recommend this gun, it proabably is too large for a CCW, but for a night stand gun, or combat gun, it can't be beat.

More pics, because I think I am in love with this gun.........

This gun feels great in my hands. It is a joy to shoot. Its the only FN I've owned and fired, but I am impressed.

I have a couple of FNS, the striker fire version. The FNS40 stands night stand duties 24/7 offering it's night sites and high capacity magazine full of ammo awaiting whom ever may come unwelcome in the night. IT's baby brother the FNS9 assist in guarding the homestead elsewhere on the property. While not a poly pistol guy I liked the stippled grip that holds in your hand much like two pieces of industrial Velcro well pressed together along with the left/right mag release, slide release and safety. The fact that they came with night sites, 3 magazines total and exchangeable back straps were a bonus.
I am more of an exposed hammer guy, but the price was too good to pass up on the striker fire design.
