I'm a gun store clerk now, and I do ok. The only problem is-my boss gives HUGE employee discounts. And he has really nice guns. And I get paid weekly. Sob. What's a fella to do? Next up-a CZ 75 Shadow.

Oh the humanity. Well everybody has problems.

I hope that one day I have the problem of getting huge
gun discounts. I will keep you in my prayers.:):p

That's it, rub it in. You know what you can do with yourself! :D

I was offered a counter and gun smithing position a little over a week ago. It's five years too soon. I had to turn it down. I need another 5 years for my retirement plan to work out.:(

Late next week I have to go there to show one of his guys how to setup a Haas SL20 and a VF-2 for a couple items he want him to make.

The Shadow 2 series is the best bang for your buck, especially with your discount..

One thing you can do is use your big discout and buy guns, and resell them for a profit. TA.net has forum to buy and sell firearms.
Smart boss!
The shop I worked at did the same. We could buy anything for dealer cost with no taxes or shipping.

good choice in my opinion!
mine is just one great shooter, not the most accurate that I got but for real life scenarios or action shooting the thing is a dream.
when you work in an ice Cream factory unless you watch yourself you can get VERY fat, impulse buys are not a good personality trait sometimes.
Mine is a Shadow-2 and thats what I would suggest as there are a lot of improvements in the 2 over the original Shadow, but I wouldn't pass on that one either.
IF I remember right this is a 15 yard target with 10 rounds?

yep!
but the Shadow -2 comes with three from the factory, so that will get you off and running, plus the full sized 75 and variations fit the shadow if you have one of them.

ahh ?? well there is those Italian CZ --you know the Tanfoglios that are a less money and the equal in gun quality, but I will not argue with a fellow CZ fanatic.

Yep and I understand that if you need anything to just take your gun to the store or bank and pull it out and show it to them and they will give you stuff for free!

The only crazy stuff I do is around Christmas. When it's time to mail packages, I get some tinfoil gift wrap and make myself a hat. I take my packages to the Post Office, put on the hat, and get in line. I talk to myself for a while, then I look up and shout, "What's that, Lord? Kill them? Kill them all?" Suddenly, I'm next.

Risky.....but I like it!
OP,My sympathies !15 years ago I would patronize all the LGSs I could find, spent $$$ and finally one day a LGS offered me 1/2 interest in the shop ! I jumped at it as he needed $ 20,000 for more inventory ! Just about every buck I made went to reinvestments into my collection ! If it was not for having been in an armed robbery 11 years ago and partner beaten to an inch of his life I would still be partnerd with him.I was not at shop when this occurred but arrived 10 minutes later to the scene. My wife insisted that was the end of owning a LGS !

You should have relocated to the next town over, that way the GS wouldn't have been L :D
