Hi All

My new protector Polymer 38+P got to Taurus for repair. I talked with them today and they said 4 to 6 weeks for the repair. Is this a normal time for a warranty repair?

They normally say 6 weeks, but my PT1911 was gone 2 weeks and a day over the New Years holiday. If it is a simple fix not requiring new parts, it will be pretty quick.

I shipped it FedX and Taurus paid for it. They said they would cover shipping for six months on a new weapon. I did check to see how much it would cost me to send it and it was going to cost me $65.00 that when I called Taurus and they emailed me a shipping label I hope it only takes 2 weeks to get it back. I guess will see. I really do like the polymer protector. I think the cylinder is out of time.

My model 65, purchased last December, needed minor repairs. After talking to Taurus CS, I was emailed a shipping label. Repairs took 17 days, door to door, including one missed delivery (no one home); shipping costs paid by Taurus. Repairs seem effective, although it will take a trip to the range to be sure. Weapon was very accurate, right out of the box. Pretty satisfied with Taurus CS, at this point.

i sent my new Public Defender Poly that i got for Christmas in for warranty repair. They show receiving it Jan 9 2013 and I see it was just shipped back to me on Feb 14 2013, I should receive it back from Fedex tomorrow Feb 18 2013. I also got an email once they received it saying 6 weeks.

This sounds like they have a serious commitment to good CS. I've got my fingers crossed while my 82 is in Florida.
