Here is my tribute to the great Colt 1911 of yester year (with alot of help from Cimarron and Altamont). Replaced the factory mag too with a genuine Colt 8 rounder.

Cimarron has a very nice nickle finish in my opinion and Altamont's grip art is as nice as I can find.

Looking forward to shooting this next week. Wish I had a camera to do this gun justice, it is a pretty one.

Now that is a great looking example of a Colt 1911 indeed; even if it is a copied clone. I will say, it is a little too flashy for me, but none the less, a fine example. Thanks for the pictures.

Edit Note: Fixed it, I got carried away with brightness of the gun!:D:D

WoW! Beautiful pistol and nice touch. I have the polished blue Cimarron 1911. You're right, they have incredible finishes. Congratulations.

Hope my post title hasn't misled anyone. This is a tribute to Colt, not the genuine article. Looks like a real Colt from that WWI era I think (flashier to be sure), but Cimarron did a nice job. Very tight pistol, hoping it shoots as well as it looks.
