I have owned a model 96 revolver for about 2 years. It is in really great shape with almost 100% bluing and nice South American hard wood grips. The double action and the single action trigger is as good as any I have ever shot. It is very close copy of a Smith K-22. It does have an adjustable coil hammer spring but other than that, very close. Mine has the same adjustable rear sight as the Smith. I have seen other examples of the weapon with better rear sights but no trigger adjust on guard. Does any one know the difference? How many versions of this model are there. I haven't torn down the one with the better rear sights so I don't know about the internals but other that those two differences they appear the same. I am hoping someone out there knows more about this great weapon.
