I've read other threads about this problem. My dealer is giving me the run around and seem like they dont want to take it back and ship it Taurus for warranty repair. Where can i order the part? The manual says part number 32 Transfer bar. I've PMed a member here and he said to call taurus directly. The problem is i'm in Guam and it'll be a problem calling due to the time difference.

I've tried calling and lines were busy. Does anybody have one on hand that i can buy? I can pay Paypal.
Taurus only ships parts to people they confirm have a Taurus handgun. And it will cost you for the part if you don't send in the gun.

Try calling them as close to 9am eastern time as you can. They should be able to arrange for shipping the gun back or shipping you the part.

Good luck !

What do you mean exactly "it will cost me for the part if i dont send in the gun". MY dealer was talking about different types of fees. Also a fee for them to take it to the post office and do paper work on their own time. Thats a lot of fees and time.

I just want the part from someone here.
If you talk directly to Taurus they will send you the part for free, most likely - no fees, but being overseas might make things different. Just be patient and continue to try to call. try to catch them first thing in the morning - yes - that is a very different time for you, but if you get hold of them directly that should help. As for your dealer, you can try to talk with him, too. Everything takes time, and time IS a commodity that must be paid for! I doubt that anyone on the forum would just happen to have the exact spare part that you need! Taurus has many different firearms, and few of them have interchangeable parts. I just checked the Numrich web site and they are currently sold out of transfer bars for the Taurus 94, so better try to get hold of Taurus directly.

It is extremely unlikely that anybody here has a part. We are not a parts house.....this is a group of gun enthusiasts. Talking to Taurus directly is going to be your best bet.

What the hell you doing in Guam. From your intro post picture the pistol looked well used. It is wise no to dry fire it which was probably done a bunch. Call Taurus and get a new part and put it in yourself. not hard to do. Rugers break them too.
I just talked to customer service and he said the transfer bar is a restricted part. He also said the firearm cant be mailed from Guam to Mainland. So i'm stuck with a broken gun. Before we hung up, he said thank you carry on, yeah carry a broken gun. Very upset.
Your dealer should be able to do this for you. Whatever hassle he gives you would be better than sitting on a broken new gun. I would take care of it that way.

Even with the dealer, Taurus wont accept it coming from outside the continental US, Customer Service said so. Guam is a U.S. Territory. I'm SOL. I'm gonna just take it apart and weld the transfer bar together myself.
Just got done welding the transfer bar. It functions properly and should fire. Gonna try it out at the range tomorrow.
Performed flawlessly. Works. I'm glad i repaired it myself. There was enough room for extra metal from welding, reinforcing the transfer bar. The hard part was when my dremel ran out of battery, so i had to file, sand, and polish by hand. I dont think it will ever break again.

Nice going Don. You are on your way to being a Smithy.
It is a talent to look at something that needs fixed and figure out how to do it, and then do it !

I am curious as to which method of welding did you use ?

MIG weld, Co2 for gas, .025 wire. The transfer bar was so small, it only took a split second to weld together.
I have been wanting 3 months for a mag. for my 638 .380cal. they keep telling me it's on order...
Well, it broke 2 more times since i last posted about it. I filed the transfer bar to a more rounded shape than its original square tube shape. That might help it absorb impact better.
