I bought a 85 in the late 80's early 90's. Back then they were a good looking revolver, unlike my current 605 that has the hideous full lug barrel that looks like they just sawed it off.

I look around on GB for an older SS 85 now and then. I've seen some with an extra massive ugly screw. Whats up with that?

The first pic is of my I wish I still had 85, the second pic has the screw I'm talking about.

Not sure, but that may have been a retaining screw for the firing pin. Later models use a pin behind the sideplate.
