I'm new posting to the forum but I've got a lot of good advice reading on here. Have a couple of Taurus revolvers. Saw this on Gunbroker and had to buy it. It's an import 82S Stainless .38 Special with a 3"underlug barrel, 6 shot, great finish, like new grips, it has been fired but doesn't look like it was shot much. I've never seen a 3" barrel like this, I've circled what is proof marks on the frame and barrel. Looked up the serial number on Taurususa.com and come up with zilch. Came with the box, english instructions, parts list and a 1 year warranty card, does not have Taurus USA on the frame. Anyone ever seen one like this? It is so much like a K frame Smith it's freaky!

They are an awesome revolver. I have one also.

The really nice thing about the 3" models is that they are more compact than a 4" but still has a full length ejector rod. After taking the photo with the Uncle Mikes grips I found that BK grip adapters BK Grips | 2-Clip Grip Adapters for Revolvers work much better with the magna style grips on the 82S. BTY according to the Taurus site mine was built in 1992
