So I purchased a used model 82 revolver from a local pawn shop recently. I took it straight to the range and could almost immediatly tell there was a problem. Every 4-5 times I cocked the hammer, the cylinder would spin a tad too far and the firing pin would hit the side of the cartridge. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Two things come to mind..........
• You could have a worn Cylinder Stop (Part# 44 in Revolver manual); & is most likely the cause. It's an easy fix.
• The revolver could be "Out of Time" in which case you need to send it to Taurus® for repair.
