This is a Taurus variation that I have never seen before. It's on Gun Broker with no bids at this time. The copy says it's new. It has the older style latch, though.

I would swear that that is a gunsmith worked on it special after looking it over.

Yeah, that doesnt look like anything I would say is factory new. Could be wrong

I say it's an obvious re-barrel. No factory would intentionally make such a stupid looking gun.

You know, at first I was inclined to believe it was something done by a smith BUT after I got to looking at the first photo it appears to have an additional character or characters added to the serial number. This is something I have seen from Taurus on prototype revolvers so it may very well be a Taurus experimental "race" gun.

I do agree that is quite unappealing to the eye, though some competition guns seem to have the same "lines".

Can anyone with good eyes see what the serial number is on that one? Maybe Taurus has additional info on it.
