Mine has been flawless. Berry smooth action and very accurate. My wife has claimed it for her. Oh well I'll carry my 617.

No issues with mine--rubber gripped shiny stainless 605, made in 99.

Wow- did put some of the Federal 125 gn rounds through recently--not pleasant!

I have a S&W 65 3 inch barrel which weighs more than the 605 and I too found the 125 grain a bit too much. I went down to the 110 grain for the .357 much more pleasant to shoot. Ballistics (muzzle energy) similar to a 9MM.

The only down side to the 605 is that if you "short stroke" it, it will bind up. Trigger reset is very important.

My 605 about 5-6 years old. Have shot thousands of rounds , all kinds. Gun has always functioned well. One problem, you need to put thread locker (Blue ) on all screw threads. Barrel moved clockwise about 1/8 inch after countless rounds (thousands) full power loads, Taurus fixed this, and were great to work with, Other than that, no problems. Been pretty happy with it .

If the ejector rod needs tightening (reverse threads) you willl experience cylinder binding. Just a fraction of a turn will do it
