Missing accessories after gun repair

Happy to get my G2 back today. When I sent it in I sent all contents. Received minus one magazine and the sight lock key. My FFL said everything was in there when shipped. Called customer service and they said it didn't have the key or second mag. Not sure what happened but pistol was signed for on 9/23 but Taurus said they couldn't locate the gun until the 27th...Maybe somethings got lost? Thanks for your input ahead of time...:(

CS once insisted that I had not shipped a second 709 magazine. Some polite, but firm, conversations caused them to send me a used magazine from their collection. Since this was during a time that 709 magazines were hard to find (at a reasonable price), I did not complain. Never got the sense that they believed me. Good luck.
I can understand that they might ask for both magazines, depending on the problem. However, unless I misunderstand you, I can think of no reason why the key-chain tool for the sights and security lock would need to be or be requested to be sent in.

All that aside, you *should* have been returned what you sent in. However, NEVER send in anything that is not specifically requested in the RMA. I think there is a disclaimer somewhere that says you may not get those things back.

In any case, call them, use the online chat feature and be nice, but determined.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. I have read somewhere in their literature/postings that anything custom on a gun such as aftermarket sights/grips/ etc be removed prior to sending a gun in for repair as it they have to replace it they won't move those things over to the new gun. I guess we now know that it applies to everything else also. Send the gun and one magazine. Extra keys are not an issue as I am sure that there are thousands of keys among the forum members which are in new, never used condition. The magazine is another story however and are 25.00 +/-....since the PT 111 magazine is the same, and since they are in process of receiving 1,000's of PT 111 back for the recall...Taurus finding a good used magazine should not be an issue.

They should actually sell those used mags for 15.00 shipped to recoup some of their losses on the returns.

I was instructed by Taurus CS to not include any extras when I returned a gun for warranty repairs. I followed their instructions and had no disappointment.

Can't help you out as to the magazine, but if you will get me your address I'm sure I can find an extra key to help you out. No Charge of course.....that's just the way we are here among friends.

Francesca is cool...!!
At this point I would just be glad to get gun back Lol.....Sorry to say seems par for course with Taurus. The workers probably have hundreds of guns next to them that have to be inspected and or fixed and repackaged and sent out. Would not expect to much from them at this point.

You agree? I thought that I read that Francesca made it right by you. Did I misread that?

Were you instructed to send in everything? I would never even consider doing that, unless they told me I had to. I would be afraid that they would lose something.....
I got home took the gun out and a magazine. I pulled the trigger and it didn't spring back. Worked it for a bit and it started hanging up. I put it back in the box and dropped it back off at Cabela's the next day, as new. I didn't think about taking anything out...I figured they might give me a new one , since it was less than 24 hours and I hadn't fired it...They took it and said they were sending it back...
