Of course it's not a real thing, but if someone who had better organizational skills and charisma than me were to get one together, I'd love to participate. Imagine hundreds of thousands of AR15-toting, responsible gun owners marching on Washington to demonstrate our presence. What would that tell the other side? All those "assault guns" and not a single shot fired.

Of course that idea would be playing with fire because I'd imagine some anti would obtain a rifle and open fire from the middle of the crowd to advance their cause.

Then of course I'd imagine most gun owners have JOBS and would find it difficult to participate.

What a lot of these people may not be thinking about long term is that they keep going down this road and the hundred thousands of gun owners marching on Washington just likely may come true, and the guns may not be unloaded as well.
I do believe this was one of the main reasons for the second amendment wasn't it??

I know at least four that would attend. I believe even if it was done on a state by state level on State Capitals it would make quite a showing! Think it would get TV air time on anything other than FOX News?

With thousands of armed AR-15 owners marching on any state capital it would be legal based on the premise of might makes right. It would either be a very peaceful event, a couple of nutcases would start something and be quickly... um.. admonished by the group or law enforcement would start a ruckus in which case all bets are off. The latter would have a global impact similar to Lexington and the shot heard round the world.
