I've found threads on this topic with older millennium pistols - but not the newer millennium G2 series. I'm hoping to find a first hand account of compatibility here. I just bought a PT111-G2 and have gone so far as to pop one of my old 24/7 gen one 17rd 9mm mags into it - and it locks in, and cycled the snap caps I ran thru it. But before taking it to the range I was hoping to get confirmation that it works and won't be detrimental to the gun or my face. Thanks!

I've used the 24/7 .45 in my PT145 (not gen2).

I'd have to think if the mag seats and will run snap caps, then everything should be good. But I have no first hand knowledge so just add this comment to any others that show up.

Well it sounds like I'll be ok and will probably try it soon. I do appreciate the feedback but I hope to get confirmation from a pt111 G2 9mm shooter.... I know if it works with the pt111 it's a very good sign but its not the same gun, precisely.

Understood, not the same gun, but the mag for both Mil Pro and Mil G2 is the same mag for both models # 5-11101PRO for 10 rd. and 5-11101PRO-12 for the 12rd. Someone will be along to confirm it works in their G2.

EDIT: OOPS!! My bad!! Welcome to the forum, BTW.

The MilPro and Mil G2 use the same magazine andl both accept the PT24/7 mags, but not the G2 PT24/7 mags. I use the 10 & 15 rd (.40) and 17 rd. (9mm) from my PT24/7's in the PT140 and PT111 MilPro's frequently at the range. No feed issues at all. You should be good to go.

What Wino said...

The Millennium Pro & the Millennium G2 use the same mags, the Millennium Pro can use the 24/7 Pro mags => The Millennium G2 can use the 24/7 Pro mags.

Welcome from Texas!

So the regular 24/7 Mags will work in the PT111 G2 but not the 24/7 G2 mags?

That would be correct. The 24/7 G1 mags will work in the MilPro & Mil G2 as no mag change was made with G2. The PT24/7 G2 had a mag redesign and will not work in the Mil Pro's or the 24/7's not G2.

24/7 G2 mags use a front magazine hole for disengagement (Like an XDm), the earlier 24/7's and past and present PT111s use the more standard front corner slits for magazine lock.

Update: Finally shot my Pt111 G2 over the weekend with the 17rd 24/7 gen 1 mag... no problems at all. I even ordered the 24/7 C mag spacer I've read about on forums to close the gap between the grip butt and mag.
