MAC has been reviewing the Sig P365 and ran into some issues. While investigating some of these issues he did a brief comparison with the G2C and liked it so much that he's going to do a review of it on its own.

Saw this video the day it came out, been looking forward to the forthcoming G2C review ever since.

I dunno if it's coincidence or what, but suddenly a lot of YouTubers are reviewing Taurus firearms, particularly those who previously had reviewed few or none. It's nice to see Taurus getting a bit more recognition.

I have noticed this too.

Normally I would suspect that there was some shilling going on, but seeing as YouTubers like Hickock45 and Military Arms Channel who have been turning down offers to showcase a wide variety of firearms from all sorts of manufacturers for years now are suddenly reviewing Taurus of all brands, that just doesn't hold water. I mean, even if the Adpocalypse made them desperate, I imagine that they would sooner be selling out to other manufacturers.

I'm beginning to wonder if the declining quality of premium brand firearms manufacturers has inadvertently helped Taurus by prompting the mindset, "Well, if I'm going to get a low quality firearm regardless of who I purchase from, then I might as well spend less money in the process." or otherwise, "Well, since I can't trust the brands with great reputations, I might as well start checking out some cheaper alternatives."

Keep in mind, regardless of "reputation", Taurus has sold a metric Butt-Ton of PT111/G2C pistols as they have proven to be overwhelmingly reliable, accurate and (forgive the pun) a great bang for the buck. That kind of success is very hard to argue with - especially in the face of MAC's P365 experience. I've never found the guy snobby either, and he is generally a LOT more informative than your average youtube gun review (plus he's a fellow Hoosier and 10mm lover!) and tends not to pontificate too terribly much.

Hickok45 reviewed the PT111 even after reviewing the HiPoint C9 too...Sootch did a review a while back too, I think. Thing is, there really aren't that many people running out and dropping $500 on a Glock or Sig when they can get very similar performance and much greater value for less than half that price with the Taurus.

I hope the Taurus gets a great review! As we know the PT92 finally made the big time on youtube. ;)

If it starts getting too many good reviews the price will double. Still I hope for a good one.

The 111G2 and G2c are getting rave reviews on YouTube because they earned them. I saw a negative review the other day re the trigger. Oddly the follow did not understand how th trigger works safter the first shot. I posted a comment about his failure to research a gun before he tried it. He cam back at me like I was the plague. Some people are unable to accept criticism

Yeah, there are a lot of folks out there who are just extremely arrogant, the sort who typically prefers to surround themselves with like-minded individuals so that they can pretty much say whatever they want to without fear knowing that they'll be agreed with, and that anyone of a differing opinion will be driven off by their little cheering squad.
Unfortunately, one can only receive so much undue praise from their peers until their ego becomes so inflated that they believe themselves infallible, thus once they inevitably step outside of their group to start spreading their nonsensical opinions, erroneous information, and overbearing personality with a larger audience, they just don't know how to respond to any correction/criticism they receive, yet are too proud to spare themselves further embarrassment by simply learning when to quietly accept defeat. (i.e. keeping their mouth shut rather than attempting to argue against facts with childish insults.)
