I am sending the slide of my PT145 to CCR for Cera Hide coating and it won't be back till next week so I can't take the pics of the PT145 and 24/7 C .45 side by side for you. As I said in the other thread, the new G2 compacts are even larger than the original 24/7 C's.

Are you hoping for a side-by-side photo, strickland, or just a written comparison? Are you more interested in size/weight difference, function, or ergonomics? I have a 24/7 Pro C DS in .45, my wife a MilPro in .40, and I'd be happy to answer what I can.

If you will search "Finally gun porn" in The Firing Line section you will find pics of mine like my avatar. I love them!

I am really looking to get a feel for the difference. the local LGS did not have both in stock so I could not physically compare them . I am looking for any helpful information a side by side or on top of each other picture would be great, but I am very interested in the funcitonality and trigger pull as well.

Yep, you will need to see them in person. The PT145 and 24/7 C .45 don't "look" different on papers but in real concealed carry, they're remarkably different that I carry the PT145 most of the time.

Grip on the MilPro feels a lot smaller (front to back, especially). If your hands are smaller, you may prefer it; but mine are medium-sized and I love the way the 24/7c fills them. Since mine is .45, it doesn't have the true ribber grips but just plastic molded to look like them. I like it a lot, though. Other than that, the dimensions are almost identical. My wife and I share holsters, in fact--even model-specific molded ones. Triggers are the primary difference. Since the MilPro is basically a striker-fired DAO, its pull is long but smooth, and while I don't feel it stacks badly you can feel it tense a bit before it releases. My wife likes this--she usually stages it intentionally. My 24/7 is the Pro C DS, so it has the decocker and is a DA/SA. DA pull is similar to the MilPro's, but it feels a little stiffer to me. SA has a lot of take-up, but breaks crisply once you get past that. I stage it intentionally. Also, if you put the practice time in, you can learn to really take advantage of its short reset, which the MilPro doesn't have. I hope this all makes sense. Any other questions I can answer?

I carry a MilPro 9mm and practice with a 24/7 C. The grip on the 24/7 is enough bigger to get one more round in the mag. It is just a little more comfortable in my long fingers. Either fits my Kholster just fine.

Not a real comparison, but maybe this will help a little. My PT145 and a 24/7OSS.

Yup, you need to hold them in your hands to see which one you like better. The PT145 is slightly smaller but it is quite different.

Charlie,

My wife's MilPro is the DAO, though its not a traditional double action. I say this because the normal trigger pull is noticeably lighter than the "second-strike" pull, in which the firing pin is fully to the front before squeezing the trigger. Seems that racking the slide "half-cocks" the striker to one degree or another.

You wouldn't happen to be in the mid-Georgia area, would you? If not, interesting. We have a gun show coming up, too.
