I love seeing the woods that I only drive by, after it has snowed.
That make any sense?

There are lots of wooded places that I will never set foot in as I only see them in passing on the way to work. Most is private owned, some might be hunting clubs, county or state owned land.

But the problem with woods is that you can only see a few feet deep if at all. The leaves and even dead branches hide everything.

But when it snows, you can see the ground farther in . You can see the rise and fall of the land behind the branches. Creeks and streams you never saw before the snow magically appear.

I love going for a hike in the woods in the snow. It's so quiet, beautiful, peaceful. And when it's really cold, I love the sound the snow makes, that squeak, under my feet. Great pic. Thanks for sharing.
