Grips for 85 fit. Grips for s&W j frame kinda fit. Pachmyr grips for j frame fit.
So, the kinda fit part. J frame and Taurus small frame are nearly identical in shape, but mechanically work different. The j frame grips can be used if you mark and drill a new hole for the locator pin in the frame. It’s just not worth altering a pair of nice j frame grips to do it though when you can sell the j frame grips for enough to pay for proper Taurus grips, unless your really dead set on fitting that grip to that gun. Another option is to use “boot grips” which wrap around the frame enough to positively locate them anyway. The issue with j frame grips, is that no matter what you do, they will leave a small portion of the assembly hole on the left side of the gun visible.
Long story short, it’s really hard to justify doing anything other than buying decent grips for the 327. Thailand grips are supposedly the way to go, I will find out in a couple weeks. 37 bucks ain’t bad at all for wood. If you want something with less soul, you can buy pachmyr grips which are machine made and cost more. Not a terrible grip, but not optimal.
