I am looking to buy a Taurus m65 in .357 and in matte stainless. I shot one one time at a indoor range not to far from me and I was wondering are the 65s still as good and great shooters like the one I shot?????? I got mainly revolvers anyway because I have days where I can barely rack a semi-auto pistol. I have four Rugers in .357 Speed Six,GP,SP,and a S&WM65. And I have 2 glock 9s and 4 Tauruses in 111,145s, and a PT1911. richGP100z,Omaha,Ne.

While I don't own a 65 myself, I've had the opportunity to shoot my fathers stainless on several occasions. For the money it seems to be a very nice revolver. The lock up is good, the weight is proportionate to the caliber and the fit and finish is on par with my 608. What I didn't like were the fixed sights and rather small (I have long fingers) grips. Once I figured out my POA with the fixed sights it was very accurate out to 15 yards. Past that I can't see the target anyway!!! Good value for the money. If the sights are a big deal you might try looking at the Rossi 971 or 972.
Thanks for the input rainman,I got my Taurus 65 today for $350.00 including tax and my friend at the pawnshop where I got it at said to have a good time with it. richGP100z,Omaha,Ne.
