I was wondering if it's possible to change barrels from the 24/7 to the PT-745? I am assuming the barrels are the same except the length. The barrel in 24/7 is 4.2" and would stick out a little, which is ok with me. I just think it would give the 745 more accuracy. I know, everybody will say why not just buy a 24/7. I think it would make a good looking gun. Just wondering if anyone has tried it.

Well this has been brought up before, but for the pt111. I tried my 24/7 barrel in the PT111, and I could not get it to fit, barrel would not clear thru the slide, to mount the spring system. It was too long to fit the slide??

It would be interesting if it works. Just like with motorcylces and so forth, everyone wants to mess around with and personalize their handgun. Maybe someone at your LGS would let you try the swap to see if it at least fits?
