OK, I know there are some single action fans here. Let's see some of yours. Leather, the whole works. I thought about this earlier today and meant to make some pics, but wifey had me rootin' in dirt, and all that, so I didn't make any. And I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't wanted to anyway. I'll post mine later if ya'll don't embarrass (spl) me to much. In my part of the woods we call 'em BBQ rigs. You know, show at the cook out, impress the ladies etc. :guns:  :thumb:

Taurus and any other make welcome.

NativeTexan, where you be?

Robby, is that a 44 mag, or a 45 colt? Whatever it is, it's nice.

Re: Let's See Your Single Action

Heres an old picture. I've changed out the ejector rod and grips, but this'll do for now.

Ruger old model Vaquero, 4 5/8 in. barrel. .45 Colt.

Re: Let's See Your Single Action

I'm new to photobucket so apology's in advance .
maybe click to enlarge
top is a first try at a drop loop belt, ended up too big and holsters too low
second down is a belt for more normal use of the removable holsters.
bottom is set up partly for single action until I add some more holsters to my leather.
in the bottom pic left cross is B.P.army or 6" m66.
right is set up for 8" 454 R.B (blasphemy , I know)
Little s.a. is a excam 22
Knife is a double edged (1 serrated 1regulare )6" blade
basket weave on all.
Celtic design on hardware.

Figured I'd start the leather "competition" rolling , ;D
seems like I heard about B.B.Q

in a earlier post
I missed the prize list and how far down it went though
And how much

to bring

ruger black hawk (.357mag)

this was my fathers gun, it has some pitting on it he was'nt one for cleaning guns and it spent several hears in a humid closet.

im not one for SA guns.. especially revolvers, i do have a certain appreciation for them i just dont like them to collect or buy.. none the less being my fathers gun i would never sell it.

ruger does make a good gun though even with it's neglect it has a smooth action.

I shoot SASS when I'm in the states, so I just happen to have a few single actions. I started teaching my grandsons to shoot when they were so young I had to help them hold up their Rugers. I found the Bearcats were perfect to start them on. Now all they want to shoot are .45's and my Bushmaster.

When I shoot matches i use Ruger Vaqueros in .45, and sometimes a Beretta Stampeed Marshal in .357 in a "Doc Holiday" Tombstone type shoulder holster. PIctures, hopefully, are below.

Those are great, Slim. what is that design on the hammer of those two? That's definitely unique.
