Kydex AIWB Holster for Taurus 85?

Greatings from newbie from sunny South Africa.

I am looking for a AIWB holster for my 2" Model 85. From my research, I am quite impressed with the Harry's Holster Icon 2.0. Unfortunately they have confirmed that the do not make a holster for the Model 85.

They do have a holster for both the S&W J-frames and Taurus 856.

Anyone out the using either of these holsters for their Model 85 with success?

Same story with the Phlster City Special.

I am open to alternatives kydex makes that have good retention and adjustable ride height and cant.;)

Harry's does list for the Taurus 605, which will probably work.

--edit to add--

They list for 856/605. Same holster. Two guns, slightly different size. Interesting.

And, you might check out the Galco Triton. I've used the first version of this for my 605. The new version (cant adjustible overhook, instead of FOMI type clip) looks better for AIWB.

Thanks for the feedback Lee.

I checked out the 856 against the 605 on HandGunHero and I see what you are saying about the slight size differance. Unfortunately the 85 is not listed on HandGunHero.
The 85 and 605 are the same size.
Yes, and the 805/605 are definitely not the same size as the 856. Taller frame window on the 856. Which makes me wonder how Harry's handles that.

(To the OP, I see a persistent rumour out in gun social media that Phlster is close to releasing their Taurus compatible "City Special" AIWB holster. )
Kydex is a blast to work with. Get some and see what you can develop yourself!

Very tempting. Not much in South Africa in terms of Kydex holsters.

If you decide to do this and have any questions I can give you some pointers. I've made all my own kydex holsters for years.
I don´t had good experience with kydex holster on short-barreled revolvers. The gun remains too high on the waistband and falls easily.

The best snubby holster that I found is a Brazilian copy of Bianchi model 6D. We had a holster maker that cloned Bianchi line in the 80´s and 90´s, with no quality loss. Comfortable, secure and easy to draw.

They either have to be deep to the belt line meaning only the grip is above the belt or they need to be designed to be longer than the gun. Something like a 2" gun in a 3" holster.
We The People Holsters makes a very good IWB Kydex holster for the J-Frames. The Taurus 85 and the J-Frame have pretty much the same frame and outline. You should be able to use the adjustment screw to adjust to your retentive choice if need be. We use it for our S&W J-frames and also for our Charter Arms "On Duty" after a few minutes of adjustment work.
Pm me your shipping info. I haven't carried my 85 in over a year. I'll gift you my kydex holster to see how you like it.
