A coworker brought me 8 1911 mags today. Most were Korean imports, one was a Ruger factory mag, and two were KMT 7 rounders. I tried searching, but only came up with age-old threads on M14 mags and the company's website. These are blued, with a funky-looking anti-tilt follower(appears stainless). One shows a little more wear than the other one. I'll try to get a pic up this weekend.

So, are these some kind of unicorn mag, or just an average run-of-the-mill shooter?

I have never heard of a magazine too valuable to load up and shoot. I'd say stuff em full and then empty them as JMB intended.

That's Killeen Machine and Tool (KMT) which made magazines under various military contracts for various weapons. They may have made magazines for the civilian market, I don't know. Or some of their parts could have been used by anybody. They are just magazines.
