I was recently over at a relatives house working on something, and I heard one of the male children watching a video of a guy playing a video game. It was a video game where the player has to rob stores, people, and steal cars. In the video the player is yelling at his "victims" to give up money or other various items, which they do. I asked the boy watching this if any of the other characters in the game are ever armed and shoot the player. He said no, the only ones that have a gun is the player and the cops. I asked where are the police, and he said they aren't there at the time the player is robbing people. He said by the time the police arrive the player will be somewhere else. Sounds a lot like some places I've lived at in real life.

I asked why doesn't the manufacturer of the game make it more interesting and realistic and have all the other characters have concealed handguns. This way when the player goes into a store and tries to rob the place, he has to deal with that. The boy said no, that wouldn't work, because you'd never be able to "win" the game if everybody that's a victim could shoot you. Even if the player shot one victim, he couldn't shoot them all before getting shot himself.

Perhaps the video game is made in New Jersey, New York or San Fran and they want it to be like real life?
and speaking of real life-- Monday morning news and there were only 6 people shot in Atlanta , police shot 2 of them and then there were 3 that were killed.
still hiring for Atlanta PD of anyone is interested.
remember it is the city that is to BUSY TO HATE!

Now that's common sense right there! He see's what most people don't want to admit! :D

I saw on the news a real situation where a guy walked into a Walgreens. He pulled a large knife and robbed it. My wife said why didn't someone just shoot him? I said according to anti gunner logic, no one is supposed to carry as you'll never need it! After she looked confused at me, we laughed!

Video games don't very often depict real life at all.
Of course there are differences between real life and video games. The most important of them is if you don't get 3 lives or a do over if you get killed. The general principle of what the young man was saying to me however has been proven out many times in real life as well.

That's why I don't play 'video games.' I compete with others utilizing WWII Combat Flight Simulators. Also, I maintain my edge between actual flights with Real Time Flight Simulation of Virtual Manned Highly Maneuverable Self-Powered Aerial Vehicles. So there.

Wow, a training tool for crooks. Go figure. It won't work out for 'em that way in Texas, though.
