I haven't had a chance to handle a PF-9 but we have a Kahr P9 here that is my gf's gun. It's only a couple of ounces heavier and recoil is a non-issue, even with +P's. My gf can handle it no problem and she it not an experienced shooter. Might hit a gun show in early Feb. to see if I can handle one. Just curious...

When I had my P32 you could get a factory clip for both the right or left side. I got one when I ordered some accessories, don't recall which side I ordered. Not sure about the other models.

When Kel Tec announced the PF9, I expected a smaller RohrBaugh size 9mm. The PF9 is, size wise, a P11 single stack. I don't understand why the effort for fewer rounds. I was going to get one, but I'm glad I saved the money and bought the new .45 instead. The p11 and the P3AT will still serve me well.
So, its along the lines of a Sig P239 (the single stack service gun vs the 380's)?

I recently saw a p32 for $149 used..is this woth it?I was think of using it as a bug.......also what loads do you guys recommend for 32?
If I saw one for that price, even though I'm not actively looking I'd pick it up. But I'd use it as a 2nd/3rd gun not a primary.

And FYI, another name for 32 auto is 7.65mm Browning.

For loads I'd recommend (and would use myself) Winchester silvertips, Corbon's JHP, Gold Dots, Federal Hydrashoks and maybe Hornady XTP's (not know as a real aggessive expanding bullet design).

Remember that the load MUST be reliable in your gun. The P32 I had was reliable as long as it was clean, after a box or two I couldn't trust it to run. Clean it was fine. And I had actually given it the 200rd break in period. I know that silvertips were fine in my old gun.

I recommend using expanding ammo even in a caliber as low on the power scale as this one so you don't forgo any chance at expansion. FMJ/ball ammo gives you no chance at leaving a larger hole. And modern bullet designs are much more likely to expand than the older stuff, even with that short barrel.

I used to joke that my P32 was for when I wasn't carrying a real gun (yes, the old 25acp joke).

If I got another one I'd change that slightly, its for when I'm not carrying enough real guns (I dress around 1 gun normally).

I had a chance to fondle a PF-9 today. It's real slim but the grip is long front to back. I'm sure I could deal with it but not sure it I'd want to. I do know that the laser they had attached didn't make me want to get the gun at all. But that's me.

I think if they'd made the grip more like whats on the Khar's it'd have been fine. But the grip just doesn't do much for me. I'd either go with their 32/380 or spend the extra money on a PM9. Now, if they'd work up a 2nd Gen and shorten the grip while still keeping the current mag it might do better. The rest of the gun seemed like it would work well as a pocket auto, just that grip...

I'd rather have seen something like a 32NAA on their small polymer frame. Don't know if it would have sold enough to make a good profit but its better than a "me too" attempt.

Just had another off the wall idea. Offer a long slide version of the P32 and the P3AT, maybe add 2 inches. With the extended mag's it'd be almost like a real gun! ;D

Re: Keltec .32 reviews wanted.

I had one for a while a few years ago. It was reliable as long as it was clean, get a box or two of shells through it and it started to get flaky. As I think back, I had gotten one of the KT 10rd mags that wasn't reliable so I'd skip those. Now I will add that I never did the Fluff-N-Buff to it. As far as accuracy, it would have done its job at a range appropriate for the gun (is close range). The reason I traded it off was that I didn't want to have something that small if I needed to try and stop someone from attempting to kill me. But I still think about getting another one as a second (or third) gun as they are just so easy to carry.

There is also the Kel-Tec P3AT which is the same size (or close enough that it doesn't matter except with a close fitting holster) and is in a larger caliber (380acp vs 32 acp).

I'm not sure on your local prices for these but CDNN has the constantly on order (so if they don't have any, they're on order). The P32 is $200 and the P3AT is $220. You'd have $13 shipping and handling plus whatever your local FFL charges you (they must be shipped to an FFL). Yes, these are new guns. I asked this when I called about them one time and I'm still thinking about getting one at some point. If you download their current catalog, they don't list prices for most of the handguns in there but the prices are in the hard copy that you can get in the mail. The prices I gave are from the current one, but then again, they hadn't changed from the last one. Don't forget extra magazines.

Have you thought about just dressing around your PT140 and not worrying about it? It isn't that difficult to conceal a gun that size even in summer. I do it with my XD which is about the same size. A quality holster will be cheaper than a new gun (but I know, you won't have another gun to shoot ;D ).
