I'm guessing your contention with the trigger is it's longer pull; even though on a normal shot the first majority of the pull is just slack making up for the second strike capability. Try leaving the chamber empty, then putting a loaded magazine in, then pulling the trigger twice...nothing will happen but a click, but you'll feel the DA kick in on the second pull, utilizing the full travel of the trigger pull; perhaps leaving you more impressed with the if-it-fails-to-fire function
