Thank you Qwiks for re-iterating my point. I use them in my home---not out on the street. That is the role they serve for myself and will continue to do so. Like I've stated in my first post, I have seen the massive wound channels created by these rounds first hand. I do not base my core knowledge on words I read but rather real life experiences which I learn from. And I've learned that Glasers are quite effective on human beings. ;)

Needed doing. There are lots who have no idea of the how or why of these. Thought putting out some info might be of use.
First Glasers had a liquid base along with the payload for suspension reasons. Or so it was thought it ws needed. The load was re-engineered to take out the liquid and make it a dry load.

Then there were bullet stability problems in the smaller calibers. That was addressed way back when.

Then the company made them " more user friendly" in pistols because of feed issues. The ogive needed more rounding and slimming.

All that's been taken care of down through the years.

One caveat. A goodly number shoud be fired or tried out to see if they feed through the action. Fire and function of the pistol are critical obviously.

Just that feed reliability is a case by case basis for each gun. This is true for any ammo.

But of course. But as others stated that can be expensive being they are $10 for 6 rounds. I suppose it's an individual decision on what to have in your gun. I didn't start this thread trying to promote Glasers, I started it because I've read so much negativity on these rounds when I know the opposite to be true.

Just added that as there are those who assume anything will feed through any action. 'I bought it brand new and it should do what I expect it too' is the mantra of some.
Granted it might get a bit expensive, but it's worth it IMHO.

I think that they have there place in house or airplane. my good friend has them in his sig but lives in a large apartment complex. He is an excellent shot and I would place his knowledge of guns as vary high as he owns and shoots just about every gun we wish we could own. I prefer Hydrashocks or golden saber. I have some interest in the DPX load as it's becoming more popular. Having shot the above mentioned rounds just about forever I'm vary comfortable with there stoping power and POA. I pretty much agree with Qwiks draw larger post and I think there is enough info out there to support what they can and can't do.
