Back in the '50's and '60's during the Fast Draw craze that swept through Hollywood, the 2 actors that were supposedly the fastest and best shots were Jerry Lewis and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Knowing that, it doesn't surprise me that the man had an impressive collection.

Check YouTube. There should be some clips of Mr Lewis' gunhandling skill over there. I've seen a couple over the years and the man was legit.

73 is a "massive gun arsenal"? Really? Only in the mind of a leftist, anti-gun, moonbat.
I don't have that many, but I'm not a multi-millionaire celebrity either.
I also know lots of people who have a lot more than 73 guns who don't have Mr. Lewis's resources either.
Yep, compared to me he's done okay... but I know many who easily dwarf us "massive arsenal"...

So how many anti-gunners are going to be trying to buy some of these firearms to destroy them?

DITTO^^^^^^^^^

Again, not sure if it’s a southern thing, but most of the hunters and shooters I grew up with had collections > 90 firearms.

Maybe they'll end up in a display case in one of the hotels or casinos in Vegas.

Yeah I don't think so, I bet Rick from pawn stars gets the good ones.
Only if he has time to "bring in a buddy" to ask about every lot.

Some nice Single Action Armies there and some nice S&W revolvers too. A lot of the auction estimates seem pretty low. Stuff like the guns and watches are estimated based on their value as guns and watches, with no premium for being Jerry Lewis collectibles. $500 for 10 years of ID cards from the Screen Actor's Guild? They ought to be worth that much apiece.

Can you imagine a nightclub act like this today?

Buddy Hackett was a serious Colt collector, and had a room full of guns.

Glen Ford was also the real deal when it came to quick draw Hollywood Celebrities of yore. He
was timed at a quarter of a second one time with his quick draw. I'll be honest, it did surprise
me some that Jerry Lewis was such a firearms aficionado. I thought this thread was about Jerry
Lee Lewis at first (the Killer) before I opened it up.
