I'm glad to see that it's actually going to see the light of day and hopefully it will set a new standard of quality for the Taurus brand. (i.e. That they'll replace their black oxide finish with Melonite across the board.)
Yeah let's just wait until somebody sees one in a gun case. I remember the Slim started life looking one way at the SHOT show, and was completely redesigned before it was released about a year later. Throw in a senior management change, and we just don't know what's really going on.
Until I hold one in my hands, I will not believe anything on ETA of the Spectrum in ANY magazine.
I've got money on seeing the new Ford Bronco in a showroom before I see a Taurus Spectrum in a gun store.
I have no pressing need for a .380 as my .38 spl LCR works just fine for EDC...but I will consider getting a Spectrum after they have been out for a good number of months and I can read about any issues with them first. Even if I needed a .380, I am not overly inclined to be a beta-tester for any gun manufacturer. If I had the need for one, I would probably just jump on a S&W Bodyguard .380, instead. A couple of buddies have them and both like them a lot....and the few times I have shot their Bodyguards, I liked it, too!
