Issues with TAURUS 990 TRACKER® .22 LR??

Hello there, my name is John and i just joined this forum and had a few questions about my new
TAURUS 990 TRACKER® .22 LR I got this gun about a month ago. First time to the range i shot 200 rounds and it was perfect! Very heavy trigger but I am a big guy so i want that. Took it out again today and after about 20 rounds I would shoot 2 rounds and it would not rotate. after a while it worked itself out, but now i cant cock the hammer back. I can pull the trigger and it fires just fine. But when i pull the hammer back to make the trigger almost like a hair trigger the hammer wont lock back. Is there an issue here? should i call taurus?

Thanks for your help!

wow!! Not sure what you did with the gun, cleaning wise when you got it, or after you fired 200 rds. 22lr, to me in most ammo is dirty. Dirt can cause many problems. Now would it cause the hammer not to hold back in SA, maybe. But I think I would clean it, take the side plate off too!!!

Read and follow this is works on almost all revolvers!!

You should clean it if possible and see if the problem stops. If not definitely call Taurus. Sounds like it could(not a gunsmith) be a problem with the sear not locking into place with the trigger. Sear spring maybe.....Just a guess based on limited knowledge. Should be a simple fix though.
