I bought a 24/7 G2 9mm and took it out to the range about a month ago. There were a few times that I would pull the trigger and nothing happened. It wasn't a fail to fire because of the round, it was that the firing pin didn't even release because the slide wasn't all the way forward. After bumping the slide, it would fire. This happened about 4 or 5 time in 50 rounds. I did clean out all the grease before taking the gun to the range and lubricated everywhere that the manual specifies.
I have noticed that if I pull the slide back, pull the trigger (no ammo in the gun at all) and let the slide move forward, it hangs up about 1/4" before returning to the full forward position. For a while, it would stop there, but now it has started returning all the way, albeit with much less spring force for the last 1/4".
Is this normal for this model of gun? Is it something that will go away as it is broken in, or should it be returned to Taurus for repair?
Thanks,
Stephen
