That serial number indicates something other than a 3rd gen. When you say DA trigger do you mean DA ONLY or just it has DA as well as SA?
Is Mine A 3RD Generation ?
I Picked up a used pt145 a few days ago, it had the light rail, and i had thought it was a 3rd generation, after some investigating, i think this one is the 2nd,it does not have the heine sights,and it has the D/A trigger. the ser# starts with NYL. i got a good deal on it $250 otd, i had heard that the 3rd gen. trigger was better, has any one shot the new trigger ? and is it better ?

I don't think you have the 3rd gen.
You have a 2nd generation of that model handgun.
