Introduced a new guy to shooting and firearm ownership

So last Saturday at my soon to BIL’s bachelor party we shot for about 4 hours. We started with 3 pistols and I kept pulling them out of my SUV until it was “how many more did you bring”? Well I brought about 13 pistols and everyone took a liking to them all. The one surprise was one of the groomsman kept going back to my Star Super B over and over again. He really enjoyed it; more so than myself. I’d only shot a couple of mags out of it and he must have shot over 100 rounds. So I gave it to him along with a holster and 50 rounds. The next morning he was working the action and learning more about how it works. I said “be careful, that’s how a very expensive habit starts.”

Oh yeah, and my soon to be BIL really liked the 270 we got him too.

Sounds lie he is already hooked. Good job.
The Star Super B is how a "real" gun should feel.
Tell him not to dry fire it.

Those Star pistols are a hoot to fire. And for some reason they are darn more accurate than what the shooter often is.

That was a kind gesture,

The star B is a Helluva beginner pistol. They shoot nice, they feel nice and they even look nice. I can't tell you how relieved I am that he picked a steel framed pistol over a tupperware one.

Born and raised in "Bleeding Kansas", I have to say that I LOVE Texas and the people who live there. [Don't stop in Austin]. There is a different atmosphere there that just has to be experienced. One of those is the bedrock belief in personal freedom. It is the only state that was a sovereign nation prior to joining the Union, thus "The Lone Star State". The right to have weapons is so near the surface of the culture that you can dig it up without a shovel.

Sadly, our coastal regions and many of our densely populated areas have become so dependent on government that the thought of pushing back tyranny is "biting the hand that feeds them".

Thanks to the OP for introducing safe firearm use to other men.
