Interarms Virginian Dragoon 44 mag

A gentleman I know is wanting to sell his Virginian Dragoon. He bought it new in the late 70's and I would bet it doesn't have 2 boxes through it. I am getting different opinions from the inter-webz, ranging from don't waste your money, to buy all of them you can find. Money amounts also seem to run the full gamut.

So, does anyone, on the finest gun forum on the internet, have 1st hand experience?

And what would one be worth, in you part of Merica?

Thanks in Advance

I got one back in the early 80s. It was a nice looking stainless steel revolver. It worked fine and never had any problems with it. If I remember right I paid $159 or $169 new for it. I eventually sold it because it wasn't accurate enough for handgun silhouette for me.There was nothing wrong with the gun, it was that I was spoiled by my custom built XP100.

Barrel length? Finish? Finish condition?

Those would help determine a price.

Thanks jtg :thumb:
Barrel 7.5
Blued finish
Like new no box, as I said I'll bet he didn't put 2 boxes of shells through it.
I have owned an Interarms Virginian Dragoon and i have owned a Super Black Hawk. I had to sell the dragoon one year to buy Christmas presents.

The dragoon was a fine revolver and I would not hesitate to purchase another. I did not own them at the same time so I could not give a side by side evaluation. None of the targets could tell a difference.

I had one in the mid '90s. I loved it.
Got sold off by my ex in the divorce. I have not forgiven her for that.
Not the greatest pistol you'll ever shoot, but they're fun to have.
