The Interarms Rossi model 95 started me down this rabbit hole.
I have seen the Rossi Catalog numbers from 1989 and 1995, which both show the Rossi Model 95 as part of the production.
I have a Rossi that has 9 5 95 stamped on the side of the frame, under the grips.
Erick has been VERY VERY helpful in explaining a LOT of stuff for me on the Rossi Model 95, and even more on my Rossi 92 SRC.
It seems very clear that this was made in Sept of 1995 from all the records, which is supported by the fact that the Rossi catalog shows my model made for that year.
What is confusing to me is that the Interarms Catalogs of 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 do NOT list the Rossi Model 951 or 95.
- They list the Model 851 and the 971.
- In 1992, they list the 971 twice, with different pictures and descriptions- but clearly not an image of the 951.
- Now, in the 1995 Interarms Catalog, they ALSO have a listing for "The Complete Rossi Line" with 2 pages devoted to it, but I am only looking at the table of contents, so I can't see what it on that page.
In the 1986, 1988, 1989 and 1990 Interarms firearms catalog, there is a separate listing for the Rossi 951- whether it is listed on a separate page or the same as the 851.
Do any of you have a copy of the Interarms catalogs from 1995, or 1994, 1993 to look at the actual page?
I don't feel like buying more catalogs to get nothing useful.
It just seems odd that Interarms continued to carry the firearm model but failed to list it for multiple years, when they had been listing it consistently the last half of the 1980s.
It seems inescapable that my revolver was a 1995 made revolver, sold here in late 1995 or 1996. Yet, the fact that the Interarms Catalogs don't seem to list the handgun make me wonder what was going on.
Anyone have any insights?
