I dont think being longer would make it stick out the front more. The inside of the slide has a lip on it that the beveled area of the front of the spring rides against. Is the bevel steeper on the new spring or is it not properly seating itself?

I just checked mine on my 3 week old 3rd Gen PT140, and it definately looks like your first picture and not your second. Are you sure you have the corect part?

I just called them and the answer is to send the part back and they will send me the correct one I should of got the first time. Might have to move this to Taurus complaints I like the gun and the other ones I have used by Taurus but I think they are going to kill what business they have with poor customer service.

What did that improved recoil spring cost ya by chance?
