That's the only way to do it. Hell, it's my money, my choice, and my guns!
With around 2,000 rounds down-range each, my Ruger P89, P95, and S&W9VE have never had a stoppage or failure, and my Taurus M85 has never malfunctioned either. And I really can't believe that guys own guns that never jam, FTF, FTE, etc.
That's really great Thunderhawk. How many rounds do you normally shoot any of your guns while at the range? I only ask because there must be a point when a gun (if any) can go for an extended period of consecutive firing before it is too dirty to function properly.Thunderhawk88 said:With around 2,000 rounds down-range each, my Ruger P89, P95, and S&W9VE have never had a stoppage or failure, and my Taurus M85 has never malfunctioned either.
I have a S&W Model 19 for almost 30 years that had it's first failure to fire last year. The Hammer "nose" (firing pin) broke off. Smith sent me a new one.
Usually between 200-400 per session. I carry rags just to wipe the exterior of the guns, but rarely run a snake down the barrels. I do clean them within 24 hours of every shooting session. How many rounds do you normally shoot any of your guns while at the range?
My Glock 17 has had 1500 + w/o a problem. No reloads or aluminum cases.schlemer said:And I really can't believe that guys own guns that never jam, FTF, FTE, etc. My best friend spent many years around guns and was in the military and has stated that he would never touch a Glock because they are known to have jamming issues, . Yet I have not seen any one admit to this.
Well said. I have a close friend who extols the virtues of th3 38, 357, 40 and 45, but goes all over someone if they consider a 9mm.Thunderhawk88 said:That's the only way to do it. Hell, it's my money, my choice, and my guns!
I'm reminded of an old saying. "You can't match wits with the witless."tex45acp said:DRAEGER,
I agree, but once in a while I have to show them just how wrong they are.
