Is IDPA a competition? Not meaning disrespect because lots of the folks I met at these "events" were very competitive. Personally, the only reason I paid attention to my score is to see if I was getting better or worse. My motivation for participation was based on learning the discipline of tactics and "effective" use of a pistol to defend myself in real world scenarios.

Seriously though, I hope you get the best score in your class.
