I like my Rossi 59

Picked up this used Rossi 59 (22 Mag). Only scope mount I can find is an LER (Scout) for the Taurus version. I am thinking it does fine with irons.

I prefer the irons for plinking. For serious hunting, though, I'll take a scope every time. :D That gun, though, screams to be left alone gallery style. :D
Yes, I think it will remain scopeless. It shoots way better than my Henry.
I have been thinking of finding a takedown case or bag so I can keep it behind the seat.

Oh, lordy, now he's gonna miff the Henry fanboys off. But, it's obvious that little .22 is a good shooter!

I have the Stainless rifle version in .22lr, think Model 63, and it is right there accuracy wise with my Henry Lever H001. Both are fun to shoot. The Rossi Pump gets a slight advantage because I can hold the trigger back and slam fire it with every pump.
I have a Rossi R92 in .357 with a 24" barrel. I love it. really fun to shoot and accurate. I had to put a new loading gate on it. I replaced the plastic mag tube follower with a metal one and the safety with a plug, just because.

Did i say I really like shooting it?

Well, heck, no need to pump my 10/22, just keep squeezing the trigger. But, yeah, it ain't as classy lookin'. :D
