Went to the range with my 1st generation PT 145,I was testing for function only.I had a bunch of failure to feed and fire,on one I had to actually hit the back of the slide against the side of the bench(muzzle was still pointed down range)I couldn't budge it with my hands, but most went home with a nudge from my hand, and some I had to drop the mag.I was shooting reloads and factory. Most fired with a second strike.
I probably had 6 or 7 Failure to feed out of 50 rounds and about the same failure to fire.
Needless to say I'm a little disappointed, since my first trip went so well.
Is this something I'm going to experience all the time???

Need to take that gun home and clean the crap out of it. Sounds like it's loaded up with the thick protective grease that Taurus uses. Clean it super clean, then lightly lube it, and I think you'll find that it fires perfect after that.
